Great News!
Zelis recently acquired Payspan. As a result, providers receiving checks today can now receive those payments through their Zelis Payments Network account. If providers are already registered for ACH on the Payspan portal, there is no change to that payment method. Zelis invites providers to join the Zelis Payments Network, and providers can select their preferred payment method.
Here are the options:
FREE ACH: To enroll for free for the Provider ACH on Payspan, please consult the list of commonly asked questions here or contact Payspan via email at [email protected] or by phone at 1-877-331-7154, Option 1.
ENHANCED/CONSOLIDATED NETWORK: To explore consolidated payer options on Zelis Payments Network (400+ Payers on one streamlined platform) call 1-877-828-8770.
CHECK: To receive paper checks call 1-877-828-8770.

Identifying Patients
For most medical plans administered by Global Excel, you’ll find our 24 / 7 toll-free numbers on the back left corner of your ID card, under our logo. Once we’ve been notified by the hospital, admissions forms are sent directly to the admissions department.
If you don’t carry our ID cards, we’re usually notified by the assistance company serving the policyholder’s insurance carrier. Global Excel then notifies the admissions department, either during the patient’s stay, or retroactively, the regular admissions forms are faxed, and we contact the business office directly with our U.S. billing address.

To submit claims through EDI, identify GEM01 with your claims via Change Healthcare.
If you’re not connected through Change Healthcare, contact your clearinghouse account manager to secure a connection with Change Healthcare and proceed with the transfer using our identification GEM01.
If you’re not connected with a clearinghouse or electronically, you can submit your claims by mail. If an EDI connection interests you, contact Change Healthcare for more information.
