This solution enables online presentation of remittance vouchers and straightforward reconciliation of payments that allow providers to reduce costs, speed secondary billing and help the environment by reducing paper usage. For the majority of medical plans administered by Global Excel, please refer to our logo on the back left-hand corner of the identification card where you will find one of our toll-free numbers (available 24 hours a day, seven days a week). Once notified by the hospital, admission forms are sent directly to the admitting department.
For those clients who do not carry our identification cards, Global Excel is usually notified by the assistance company of the policyholder’s insurance carrier. Global Excel then notifies the admitting department of admission either during the patient’s stay or retroactively. The regular admission forms are then faxed. We also contact the business office directly to communicate our U.S. billing address.
All Global Excel payments include a breakdown of the payment and an explanation of benefits, making reference to the specifics of the contract. Typically we issue payment or notify the provider of a denial within 30 days of receiving all required documents.
Joining Our Provider Network
Direct billing through electronic data interface. To submit claims through EDI, please identify GEM01 with your claims through Change Healthcare.
Should you not be connected through Change Healthcare, but instead connected to another clearinghouse, please contact your clearinghouse account manager to ensure a connection is established with Change Healthcare, at which point the transfer can occur with our identification, GEM01.
Our self-service Provider Portal allows providers to view the existing status of claims that have been submitted to Global Excel for payment, as well as create an online service request for additional information regarding any specific claim.
