Jusqu’en 2011, Global Excel \u00e9tait une filiale \u00e0 part enti\u00e8re de etfs (Expert Travel Financial Security Inc.). etfs \u00e9tait l’un des principaux fournisseurs canadiens de produits et de services sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re d’assurance maladie et d’assurance voyage.<\/p>

La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e \u00e0 Sherbrooke, au Qu\u00e9bec, en 1984 et, \u00e0 l’origine, elle desservait les march\u00e9s de l’assurance collective et de l’assurance des \u00e9tudiants. Les changements radicaux apport\u00e9s au syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9 canadien en 1992 ont radicalement modifi\u00e9 la couverture de l’assurance gouvernementale pour les voyageurs \u00e0 l’\u00e9tranger. Ces changements ont donn\u00e9 l’occasion aux fonds communs de placement d’entrer dans le secteur de l’assurance voyage individuelle.<\/p>

En 1996, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a cr\u00e9\u00e9 une filiale :<\/strong> Global Excel Management Inc. (Global Excel). Au d\u00e9part, Global Excel fournissait des services d’assistance, de ma\u00eetrise des co\u00fbts, de gestion des dossiers et de r\u00e8glement des sinistres aux assur\u00e9s de l’ETFS. Au fil des ans, le nombre de clients desservis par Global Excel s’est multipli\u00e9 et les services offerts ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9largis.<\/p>

En 2011, etfs a \u00e9t\u00e9 vendu \u00e0 Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) Canada. RSA, d\u00e9sormais Intact, continue d\u2019offrir de nombreux produits collectifs et individuels destin\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019industrie de l\u2019assurance voyage et de l\u2019assurance maladie sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e.
